Privacy Notice

What we collect
VLTSCO processes account information, submitted practice content, assessment outputs, consent and declaration records, complaint evidence, and necessary technical records to provide, secure, and maintain the service. Do not include sensitive or identifying personal information in essay content.
Why we collect it
The task, prompt, and essay are sent to Anthropic's commercial API. Anthropic states that commercial API data is not used to train its generative models and standard API inputs and outputs are deleted within 30 days, subject to agreed settings, misuse- enforcement, and legal exceptions. Processing may occur outside Canada. VLTSCO does not currently request model-training consent; a future identifiable-submission use would require a separate optional opt-in.
How long we keep it
Accepted submissions and reports remain available while the account is active and are deleted through account deletion, subject to security, complaint-evidence, legal, and backup constraints. Rejected drafts are not persisted. Consent, declaration, complaint, and security evidence is retained only as long as needed for its purpose.
Requesting deletion
Although essays are treated as fictionalized or anonymized practice material, VLTSCO safeguards stored submissions. If personal information is included unintentionally, request access, correction, restriction, anonymization, or deletion at info@vltsco.ca, subject to identity, security, evidentiary, legal, and retention requirements. Not every request permits immediate deletion.
No resale of data
We do not sell, rent, or share your essay text or personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA)
Consent does not waive accountability, safeguards, collection limitation, purpose limitation, access obligations, or the requirement for reasonable purposes. A score disagreement is not automatically a privacy complaint. Factual account correction, accidental essay-content requests, and formal privacy correspondence are distinct. Where applicable, unresolved concerns may be brought to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. This notice is not legal advice.
